The Good Days

I miss the good ‘ol days of summer. Growing up we were always sent to Seattle for the first half of summer and Michigan for the second half of summer. We spent the summer visiting family and friends. The memories are too many to count, but the things I remember the most always involved ice cream. In Seattle we would wait for the sound of the ice cream truck… it would come around the corner and we would bust out of the house. In Michigan we went to numerous little ice cream shops – Our favorite JIM’S in Oscoda, MI. After a long day of swimming at the lake there was nothing better than getting the entire (first, second, event third cousins) family together for a trip to JIM’S. It was the sweetest ice cream I may have ever tasted and when surrounded by family the laughter and the fun never ended.
