Leaf Turning… What’s That?

Well, if it is indeed finding a new perspective, a new approach… that is me. I am turning leaves. The point of the leaf turning is to continually grow, change for the better, enlighten ones-self and the obvious – get through something in tact. Not certain what approach I am taking now and what the turn in leaf will result in, but I do know that all of the above is occurring.
When I give, I give my whole heart. I give all my energy. I try my hardest and I leave nothing on the table, nothing left unsaid. Here we are again… a time of leaf turning and the one thing I’ve come to realize since the realization that the leaf has turned is, now must I… turning is hard.
I cannot change what is done, I must accept it. I cannot predict what’s to come, I must live it. I cannot control feelings except my own. I cannot give all of me without the same in return. I cannot expend energy without response. And I cannot devote emotion where there is none.
And so every old journey that comes to an end implies there is a new journey meant to begin.
I am turning leaves and it is a good thing.

“If we don’t change, we don’t grow. If we don’t grow, we aren’t really living.” – Gail Sheehy
