I Intend to WIN…

90 days. 78 days on. 12 days rest. I intend to win the bet…

Yesterday I made a bet. It is a very serious bet. A bet which I intend to win. I have mentioned in a many previous ‘oh posts that I am not a huge fan of working out, I usually do not maintain a regimen and I stop as soon as I see results. It is a known fact that I need some pretty intense motivation to last longer than a week… whether it be eating healthy or prescribing to a new workout plan, I need some serious reason to succeed.

After my little doodle was born I knew the old habits would have to die. Sure, they would die hard, but there was no way the baby weight was coming off eating what I like when I like and jogging just a couple times a week. No, I am not one of the lucky ones who bounced back immediately and yes that bothers me a smidge. However, that doc I LOVE did indeed tell me… It took you 9 months to get here, expect it to take you 9 months to get back and go ahead and hate anyone who makes you feel badly. The hate part, I won’t participate, but I repeat her mantra every time I feel down. Also, in a previous post I was negotiating the different ways in which I was thinking about losing the weight and P90X was mentioned… Well, a good friend and co-worker decided to discuss P90X with me and make a bet…

Starting September 1st (if the DVDs are delivered to me on time – part of the bet was I borrow the DVDs from said co-worker) I am on a mission. 1. To get fit and feel healthy. 2. To feel good in my skin again. 3. To win the bet. & 4. To prove I can generate my own motivation (though the prize is motivation enough and maybe proving to my co-worker that I am a tough chick to boot is as well). I cannot wait to document my progress.
