I may be just as excited as the author herself. There are many blogs that inspire me and motivate me and Momastery is at the top of my list. Her words, how they flow, her brutiful honesty, it is moving. The way she accepts that life is not perfect, nor will it ever be. The way she understands that parenting is tough, really really tough. The way she sees beauty in every moment, lessons in every experience and compassion for the world.
Glennon Doyle Melton inspires me. She inspires me as she is, herself, imperfect. A recovering addict and bulimic. Fighting hard, real, daily battles to keep it all together. In her words from her blog and recent interviews, she stopped hiding and in coming into the light, she found her freedom to live, to thrive. From her children’s meltdowns, to inspiring them to live with compassion, to seeking out moments in a day that are kairos, she speaks in truths and she speaks from the heart. Her honesty about her on struggles in marriage, though she has protected her family and not told the entire world every detail, she also doesn’t hide that something fiercely powerful has negatively impacted her family. It is all truth, it is all beautiful, it is all related-able.
I am so excited to grab this book. To dig in. To read every word, no, to soak up every word.
