Spa Night

After a crazy travel week for work and getting the call that Doodle was sent home from school sick from her daddy, our Wednesday turned into a spa day. Doodle and I treated ourselves to an “at home” spa treatment. We refreshed ourselves. Cleaned, scrubbed, massaged and generally improved the state of our fingers and toes. We carefully selected polish colors, scrubbed our heels to softness, massaged oil into the clean bit, pushed our cuticles back. We painted a base coat, colorful coats and a top coat. What a treat it was.

The end results were far from salon worthy (see photo below). I am no expert in applying polish without it smudging, bubbling or simply caking to a point of destruction. I am however interested in trying again and again until I get good at it. I love pedicures and manicures, but I find I often wait far too long. The polish chips and my feet turn from baby soft to less than presentable. So, between fancy salon pedicures, this is my new bag.

The Amope Pedi Perfect Electronic Pedicure Foot File is my absolute new favorite household beauty item. I am a skeptic when it comes to “at home tools” to compete with the real deal. But, I can honestly say, this my friends is one of the best investments I have made recently. My feet are in heaven. And tackling soft heels was really what inspired the in-home spa treatment.

I love Essie products. The colors are beautiful and funky. The bottles are cute and at the end of the day, they make me happy. Doodle selected fresh colors for me – Watermelon, Mademoiselle & Go Overboard. I purchased the base coat and top coat to complete the mani/pedi process. And of course, you can’t have a true pedicure without the massage oil for your feet.

I am kind of super excited to navigate the world of at home sap treatments and #spafails. How fun to take care of ones self and be able to change at your own whims.
